I just put essie’s Oh My Gold! Sleek Sticks on my nails and despite the fact that there is absolutely no drying time I completely hate them. I was so excited when these came out, and of course they look absolutely gorgeous in the ads, but they’re horrible. And this isn’t just polish strop aversion because I had a great experience with the Sally Hansen Salon Effects (despite the ugly design). The essie Sleek Sticks are more stickers than nail polish strips which means they’re thicker and harder to manipulate. So there are parts that are ridged and sections that are peeling. I don’t have high hopes for multiple hand washings. It’s really unfortunate because I think the designs are superior to the Salon Effects but you live and learn. I definitely want to try the Incoco appliques. I swoon every time I pass the kiosk in the mall.

Opi’s new Spring/Summer Collection coming to a store near you in February :)
Finally an OPI collection I’m a bit excited about.
I want the left half, don’t care about the right ones. Give me all the blues!
Strictly here for Polka.com.
Feeding my addiction. ’Can’t Find my Czechbook’ looks delightful.
I’ve also got essie’s ‘Go Overboard’ on my toes, it’s delightful.
China Glaze for Hunger Games matte love! This is ‘Stone Cold’, one of the four CG for HG polishes I bought the other day. It really looks like stone. I love the matte finish but am thinking of putting a shiny top coat over it in a couple of days since it was so pretty going on my nails before it dried. I also got my hands on ‘Agro’, because it was so pretty in person, ‘Smoke and Ashes’, and ‘Fast Track’. I realize that besides ‘Fast Track’ these polishes are more “fall/winter” feeling but I think these colors would be Katniss-approved. Can’t wait for the 23rd!!
